The evening included a silent and live auction of many fabulous

donated items, as well as awards honoring special volunteers.

Congratulations to the recipient of the Janet Badger Volunteer of the Year Award, which is given to a person who shows extraordinary service to our organization. The award was given to JoAnn Ronco, a fantastic woman who has served RRS and its community since 2005 by helping others to take a moment to care for themselves.   JoAnn specializes in healing treatments such as massage, and currently is helping to co- facilitate a support group. Thank you JoAnn!

Congratulations to the brothers of the Beta Eta chapter of Beta Theta Pi at UMaine- the 2008 recipients of the Teal Ribbon Award. This award is given to a community member who goes above and beyond to support the mission of the organization. This was the first time in the history of RRS that the award was presented to a group of men, instead of a single individual. RRS is honored to be in partnership with these honorable men as we all work together to create a community free of violence towards women. Thank you "Beta Boys"!!!
